Next stop Edinhoven, 5 am. If Amsterdam was a experience, i am scrambling for words to describe this experience. Early morning bone crushing cold and the station security forced us to move out of the station as the station would be closed for the next couple of hours. C'mmon !! we have a connecting train and we are not supposed to wait at the railway station. We were pushed out. When we came out we realized that it was all carnival day out. We were greeted by some drunk men and women. My friend who was a lil dizzy chose a place on the pavement and dozed off. The other guy found a nearby phonebooth which we eventually used to stay indoors to shield from the cold. Another 3 hours of wait and finally the train arrived and it was a 4 hour journey to reach back home.

Chilly night out ....

my euro trip
A night to remember !!! and this night was spent in the spine chilling cold in Amsterdam and Edinhoven. The time spent at the railway station was nearly 8 hours for a 4 hours train journey. The plan was to freak out till late night in Amsterdam and then take the train back to Germany at 3 am. Didnt know what we would be getting into ! some unexpected incidents forced us to wait for the train at the railway station; as early as 10 pm. Now the big hurdles was awaiting for us... no seats to rest our tired legs. What a tourist hotspot railway station without a waiting lounge .. am i expecting too much of a international destination . I wanted some benches to sit and wait for my trian . Damn i was cursing the authorities. I was all messed up and i needed some place to rest . I was desperate and ended up on some stairs leadng upto the platform. These stairs leading were like ducts oozing chilly bone crushing air. I was desperate and my friend too. So we ended up sitting in the duct and catching up with some sleep for 4 hours. We were clearly in someother world. The sounds of the trains passing was aplified and we would wake up to find ourselves safe under the platform. The eyes would glue again to continue our trip in dreams. The 3rd friend could not sit and had no better job to do.He went around reading all the train listings. By the time we woke up from our deep slumber he was well versed with Dutch vocabulary. Finally he woke us up to take us to a better place. And it was the lift; the lift served basement to the platform. We all got into the lift and took to the platform and slept in the lift for the next couple of hours till out train arrived.
