Kannada is us

Karnataka was born out of more than 3 princely states post independence. Thanks to Mr. Urs we have such a nice name as karnataka. Political mileage was given a boost with the official announcement of Kannada language being given a classical language. There is no doubt Kannada is a rich language with wide varieties than what is its root. But what will the status bring forth ? will it give a razor edge to KRV like MNS or improve the schools to impart the best of Kannada literature that will churn out literates who's work will be aped in other European languages. What more will happen ? The day for Karnataka the 'Kannada Rajyotsava'; for the festivities the government spent around 2 crore rupees. Does that all Kannada is to get out ? Is it done and over ?
