When will we get over the 'why me' syndrome ?

Over the past zillion of years, the earth has gone through all kinds of transformation and changes that has shaped the current earth we live. The face of the earth has gone through so much ripping changes. People then, who went through the transformation of the earth would certainly not have asked the question 'why me'. They would have been so bound to the very emotional bondage with the folklore that held them together that they would have fought the very distress together. Remember the men from Sparta ? 300 odd strong men held their people safe from a million invaders.
The changes that came up then has resulted in such a colorful world we live in. The people who migrated to survive the ice age have given such a diverse touch to every race in the world. So all would agree changes are inevitable and are always good.
I would agree that embracing changes over a cup of coffee is not easy and definitely not a child's game. Its takes steel of a character to overcome and fight it. We; the modern era man- just sleep over the change as a child buries his face under the blanket when having a bad dream.
Modern India is faced with truck loads of problems. Not just one truck load, but all trucks in India will not be sufficient to carry the burden. The whole centre of gravity as to why we are not coming over the situation is due to a silly syndrome 'why me '.
Bomb blasts rip thru our lives as a day to day affair. What we do is to pay respect to God and thank him for keeping me away from the fateful place. But have we in the last months; stood up and pulled the strings and made a right noise. Have we taken measures We just can't sit back and expect the government to do all the necessary. We need to make them listen. Post the 9/11, within a span of 2 weeks, a terrorist attack law was passed from the US assembly without any hiccups and there has been no attack since. Here its the ruling government who has to act while the opposition tries to ridicule the party in power and let the common man die day in and day out. I haven't raised my voice to this fall out of system, have you ?
