Right here ; right now. What next ?

Man has come a long way from the prehistoric era. The day after the big bang and the era post it when the planets took shape and created this wonderful earth and the planet system. From being a single celled organisms to the more complex animals; we are now a most advanced species the earth has ever witnessed.
But wait a minute; before concluding what we are compared to the what our prehistoric species where, don't we need to look back and see what has changed since then. The prehistoric men and women lived in harmony under a small roof and closely knit community. In the earlier days when farming was little known fact; they highly depended on the meat that any animal could provide, What would happen if the current trends continue when the once and currently considered rice bowl of the world have reduced the production of rice and wheat. Yes, to some reality the production has reduced and some we have too many mouths to feed and less land to produce food.
Ain't i getting into a mood of being cynical of the past and the present. Then the men used to produced simple tools from the rocks found here and there. But today; the sophisticated tools still exist, only to 'kill' innocent lives. where have we come from then ?
Today's world is affluenza stricken. The moral is low; the greed is the order of the day. Then the days when the innovation was the order of the day. Newer and newer things were created from the bare hands. Today ; research and innovation is just limited to the noble men at research institutes. Rest of the crowd are just satisfied in the monotonous life, sulking now and then at the boredom they face.
This era will end one fine day; might be some millions of years from now. I would love to foresee how the current mankind will survive such a devastation. Earlier men survived because they had this survival instinct. Do we have it ? if we had it they would have been no kidnap and murders based on racial differences.
though mankind has made strides of advancement; we have come a long way, we have a long way to go too.
